Century Village
Pembroke Pines was once swampland. During the 19th century, it became a dairy farm pasture. In the 1940s, Henry D. Perry donated 640 acres to the US Navy to use as a training base. These lands would eventually become the site of North Perry Airport. After the war, many retired servicemen moved to the area. In the 1960s, the city became a incorporated city. More news here
